Sustain Pedal Operates Randomly

Hmm, tube 3?  I'm using the scale from an old PPCo catalog that
shows tube 8 as the sustain hole and 3 as tympani.  Is it wrong?

 [ numbered as 0 through 99.  This is the reference scheme used in
