Collector friends of mine disagreed in the earlier days as to the
correct tubing of an original Coinola.  Art Reblitz studied the
original rolls very carefully with original test rolls for his Coinola
"O" roll scale in the book "Player Piano-Servicing and Rebuilding".

Yesterday's posting by Don Teach was wrong.  The following is when you
are looking at the roll frame [looking at an original Coinola tracker
bar] from the front.  The currently accepted scale by most experienced
and respected restorers of nickelodeons is as follows, viewed from the
front of the roll frame:

The first large hole on the left is Play.  Then

 1 Tympani,
 2 Bass Drum with Cymbal,
 3 Tympani,
 4 Wood Block Reiterating,
 5 Snare Drum single,
 6 Snare Drum with repeating beater,
 7 Triangle,
 8 Sustain Pedal,
 9 Hammer rail down (loud),
10 Hammer Rail soft,
11 Mandolin off,
12 Mandolin on,
13 Pipes on,
14 Bells or Xylophone on,
15 Low suction,
16 Normal Suction,
17 Bell or xylophone off,
18 Coin Trip,
19 Pipes off,

87 High Suction (pneumatic on reservoir closes, increasing suction)
