Play Your Automatic Instruments for Halloween
By David Sharpe

The recent posting in the MMDigest reminded me of my experience one
Halloween years ago. I had my Duo-Art set to play Danse Macabre and
turned to play but plugged into an outlet controlled by a wall switch
in the off position near the front door. When a trick-or-treater
arrived I would give some spiel about ghosts being around the house
lately who were playing my piano. I would say, "Oh, I think I hear
one coming now," and flick the switch.

Most kids got a bang out of it but one little girl started screaming
and ran to her mother at the sidewalk. A little too realistic,
I guess. That ended that.

The idea of having it running constantly in a window sounds better.
