Rolmonica Rolls
By Ken Vinen

John, Before you get too far into your project, I suspect you are not
aware there are two kinds of Rolmonica rolls. One was the less
expensive model and played 12 notes. The other, which is not frequently
found, was fully chromatic. The 12-note model is like the Wurlitzer
125 band organ: non-chromatic! This means you need to discover what
each of the 12 notes was supposed to be.

As for titles, this information was rubber stamped on the leader of
each roll. This same information is also at the end of each roll, so
if you carefully roll off the paper to the end, you will discover the
song title. Re-cut music rolls are available for the Rolmonica from
Ed Schmidt and I imagine he could probably tell you what the note value
was supposed to be. [See http://www.music-rolls.com/ -- Robbie]

Hope you find this information helpful.

Regards to all,
Ken Vinen, Aylmer, Ontario, Canada
