Mechanical Music Sale in Boston 29 July 2006
By Nick Hawkins

Dear MMD, We are pleased to announce a new location for our next
specialty auction of Mechanical Music, Science & Technology. The sale
will take place on July 29 in Skinner's Boston gallery, in the heart
of the historic downtown and close to Logan Airport.

Our forthcoming sale will once again feature several single-owner
collections, with highlights including a Mills Violano Virtuoso and
a Wurlitzer Military Band Organ from the collection of John P. Zelonis
Jnr., a recently-discovered Edison Class M phonograph, cylinder and disc
musical boxes, and French automata from the worldly to the whimsical.

We are also pleased to welcome Robert Cheney to Skinner's. Robert is
the co-author of "Clock Making in New England, 1725 - 1825" and the
consulting conservator of clocks at Old Sturbridge Village.

If you are considering adding to your collection, or selling one or
more pieces, please do not hesitate to contact us to arrange a visit or
a free verbal appraisal. We are always pleased to hear from collectors
of all types of mechanical music, clocks and scientific instruments.

The deadline for consignments in this auction will be May 31; for
more information, please do not hesitate to contact me by e-mail:
<science-tech@skinnerinc.com>, or telephone 1-978-779-6241. I hope
to see you soon in Boston.

Best wishes,
Nick Hawkins - Skinner, Inc.
