The late Tom Hazleton also recorded a CD on the Scotty's Castle Welte
a few years ago.  This 15 rank organ in unique in that it has only
two tremulants.  Typically, an organ of this size would have a minimum
of four tremulants and more likely six trems.

The original Welte player is still there.  At one time a Wurlitzer
style R player was added to the Welte, but its relays were damaged by
a flash flood.  A Peterson player system was added to the organ after
Schoenstein's rebuilt the organ.

On a segment of "America's Castle", the organ was heard playing in
the background during a visit to the music room.  "Ah Sweet Mystery of
Life" was heard tooting away on the organ for the television tour.

There is also a large (25 tube) Deagan Tower Chime unit with a player
and keyboard.  A large player Welte (I think) grand piano is in a
downstairs parlor as well.

The downstairs grand piano and the 25-tube Deagan Tower Chime unit are
not played from the Welte organ console.  The downstairs piano and Tower
Chimes are instruments unto themselves.
