Liability for Flood Damage to Customer's Instrument
By Dave Clark

I lost my "band organ" truck to the same flood on June 28 in Upstate
New York. In this case I had it parked at a service station waiting
for repairs and the service station got flooded. My auto insurance
covered the loss.

I realize that cars are probably different since we have separate
insurance for cars but I think this re-enforces Paul's advise to
get a second opinion and Craig's comment about the owners personal
insurance covering it. Maybe it does. I also think there is a
difference between "an act of God" and some of form of damage (fire,
driving fork lift through piano, etc.). I'm neither a lawyer nor an
insurance expert but just want to add that, in my case, my insurance
paid the claim.
