Drawings of Musical Box Movement
By Jim Heyworth

Hello Paul, Regarding your request for drawings of a cylinder musical
box movement, one of the better sources that I know of is "The Cylinder
Musical-Box Handbook" by Graham Webb, Faber & Faber, London, 1968.

In this book Graham provides a lot of information regarding the
restoration of cylinder boxes. Some of what he says is now considered
controversial so be somewhat careful about using it as a bible.
Generally, though, it is excellent and the drawings and explanations
good.

There are also a number of books by Arthur W.J.G. Ord-Hume which are
also very good. A lot of material is now out of print but a search of
your local library or the internet might come up with good results.

Be careful, and good luck!

Jim Heyworth,
Sechelt, B.C., Canada
