"Pleasant Moments" Played by Scott Joplin Recut
By Robert Perry

Hi everyone, Some time ago I was lucky enough to discover the "lost"
Connorized roll of 'Pleasant Moments', played by the composer, Scott
Joplin [060816 MMDigest].

I've received nearly 80 orders for recuts of the roll, and it's now
time to request payment from those who ordered. I sent out a mass
email earlier today, but if for whatever reason you didn't receive it,
you can visit the Pleasant Moments web page to view details of how
to make payment at http://www.pianola.co.nz/pleasant_moments.htm
New orders are also welcome.

Thanks to the marvelous advancements in music roll scanning technology,
the roll didn't have to leave my possession to be recut, and yet will
be the most accurate recut possible thanks to Anthony Robinson, who
reconstructed the punch matrix of the roll from the scanned file,
eliminating all scanning errors and even any tiny errors caused by
perforator slippage etc when the roll was copied from the master all
those years ago! Thanks must also go to the developers and
practitioners of roll scanning, including Richard Stibbons, Spencer
Chase, Wayne Stahnke, Larry Doe, Terry Smythe, and many others.

Regards,
Robert Perry
