Twenty years ago, our MMD editor was busy helping the Chicago chapter
of AMICA produce the new Podolsky Ampico piano rolls.  That story is
told on the AMICA web site, and I also have posted on my site an
example of one master roll from that project.

The AMICA site has a brief biography of Leo Podolsky written by Emmett
Ford followed by my summary of the entire project.

This material has been on the Web for some time, but today I revisited
it, and found it to be still timely for those individuals interested in
Ampico Roll coding and production.  By posting the information here,
both sites are tied together.  Starting with my web page at

Anyone wanting to code Ampico rolls or create emulations of Ampico

complex system, which is often very over-simplified.
