  [ but who knows why and for how long?  Jody has been working like a
  [ beaver in the last few weeks to improve and streamline MMD systems
  [ and cut down on the spam.  We were getting a few hundred a day, now
  [ virtually none, although that will change as the webcrawlers dis-
  [ cover the new MMD addresses.
