Wurlitzer Tracker Bar Dimensions
By Bob Loesch

Hello MMD. I'm gearing up to make a 165-scale tracker bar or two, and
there is one rather important piece of information that I'm missing:
What size are the holes, and what is the space between holes?

That rather important bit of information seems to be missing from the
Stanoszek plans.

Are the holes and spacing of the 165 similar to the 125 and 150 with
the larger bars longer? If so, then the drawings from the Alien
Aircraft 105 plans have an error, as they show _both_ the diameter
_and_ the center-to-center distance as being the same, 0.123", yet
show a space approximately identical to the diameter between them.

Or am I just confused, as usual?

[ The late Mike Kitner determined that the Wurlitzer channel
[ spacing is exactly 0.1227 inch per key (20 inches per 163 keys).
[ Percussion channels usually are offset slightly, to compensate
[ for the time delay of the beater.
 [
[ The proper height of the rectangular hole is determined by the
[ webbing (bridge) distance of the music rolls, which increases
[ steadily from the beginning to the end. Rolls recut by Play-Rite
[ don't always play well on an original Wurlitzer tracker bar.
