Wurlitzer Tracker Bar Dimensions
By Matthew Caulfield

With regard to the .1227" vs. .123" controversy about Wurlitzer tracker
bar hole spacing, I think the difference is critical, when you multiply
the slight error in the spacing of a single hole from another by the 75
errors introduced in spacing out the 75 holes in a style 165 tracker
bar. It is hard enough already to get a roll to track on a publicly
operated band organ, given atmospheric and temperature variations.
Trying to get holes 1 and holes 75 both to track when the bar dimensions
are off is impossible.

I wonder whether Russ Doering, who is closely involved with Play-Rite's
perforators, can step in here and speak to the _exact_ holes spacing of
a Wurlitzer tracker bar or die set? To fiddle about hole shape and
size, while shrugging off the question of hole spacing, seems an error
in focus to me.
