Moving a Wide Piano Through a Narrow Door
By John A. Tuttle

Hi All, Of all the advice given, I found the best to be putting the
piano on its side to go through the doorway. It's always worth a try
_before_ resorting to removing the keybed.

The inherent problem with removing the keybed is the necessity for
regulating virtually every adjustment in the piano and the player
action after re-assembly.

My advice: think clever. If you're really unsure about whether or not
the piano will fit through the door on its side, make a template out of
cardboard. It's well worth the few minutes it takes versus the hours
of putting a house back together or making hundreds of adjustments.

Musically,
John A Tuttle
