Rebuilding a Player Piano Pump
By Bruce Clark

In response to Eugene Rodgers question about rebuilding a player piano
pump and removal of old heavy bellows cloth: the use of heat will
facilitate this job. I have used two methods:

1. A hot clothes iron, combined with a damp cloth applied to the area
where the bellows material is glued.

2. The use of a propane gas torch. In both methods, care should used
not to apply too much heat and damage the wood.

The use of the propane torch method should be done outside, as some
smoke and strong smells develop.
