Seek Eberhardt & Other Coin Piano Ephemera
By Dave Bowers

Art Reblitz and I are continuing our search through archives,
catalogues, and the like in connection with the book we are writing
about coin-operated pianos, orchestrions, and related instruments
sold in America. Questions of the day:

Does anyone have information as to Eberhardt coin pianos or other
automatic musical instruments?

Any catalogues or flyers for any of these companies that made A-roll
pianos, these being some of the other obscure makes extracted from
a 1927 Clark Orchestra Roll Co. list; some are well-known makers of
upright and/or grand pianos, but we seek info on their coin-operated
products: American, Colonial, Heller, Howard, Jewett, Lehr, Monarch,
National 20R, Schaeffer, Starr, and Victor (if different from Victor
Coin). More: Ariston, Armstrong, Concertrola, Electratone, Haines,
Ideal, Kibby, Kreiter, Netzow, Reed, Schulz, Standard, Waltham, and
Wilson.

On another subject, does anyone have catalogues, flyers, and the like
for 44-note and other early coin pianos used in arcades; Mills, Caille,
Pick, or other catalogues picturing the same. Trade names include
Pianova, Auto Electrola, Regal, Majestic, Jr., and others.

Thanks to the people who have helped us so far. The book is a
challenging project, non-for-profit (unless there is some way such a
project can be made profitable, which is doubtful), that should benefit
the entire hobby.

Best wishes,
Dave Bowers
