Replacing Valve Pouches in Aeolian Action
By John Phillips

Hello MMD. I'm wondering if I'm finally losing my grip. I decided
to order some precut pouches of Maroon Leather from Columbia Organ for
my Aeolian action. I measured the existing pouches and found them to
be very close to 1-3/8 inches in diameter. But the smallest diameter
in Columbia's catalog, unless I am going nuts, is 1-5/8 inches. This
seems very strange to me; surely Aeolian player actions are quite
common? They certainly are in Australia.

I have just emailed Columbia about this and I am aware that I can
order a skin and cut my own pouches, but does anyone else agree that
this seems an odd situation? Or am I being dumber than usual?
