"Mazeppa, Grand Galop de Concert" by Wollenhaupt

The 'Mazeppa', referred to in both Wollenhaupt's and Liszt's better
known symphonic poem, was a Ukrainian Cossack who was tied naked to
the back of a horse and sent on a horrific ride to the death, but was
rescued by comrades and later became their leader.
