Many thanks to everyone who posted regarding the music loops.
Mystery now solved thanks to MMD.  The next task is to search
Speke Hall to find the instrument to play them.

There is also an Imhof and Mukle barrel organ at Speke Hall that
was restored in the 1990s, but no other information on its history
is forthcoming as yet.
