Donating a Collection to an Institution
By John Riester

[ Ref. 110912 MMDigest, Spread The Word With Old Magazines

In response to yesterday's note about what to do with old magazines
and books -- if you are interested in donating materials, consider the
American Organ Institute at the University of Oklahoma School of Music.

We have a wide archive of music, recordings, historical documents,
and technical resources. In addition to the music and print archive,
we have in our collection three 1920's Möller Artiste roll players
(one of which is midway through restoration) and the original Möller
roll perforator (along with 16 tons of master rolls).

Oklahoma University organ students (in both performance and instrument
technology) enjoy reading a wide range of historical and technical
resources and we have a minimal amount in our collection on mechanical
music instruments. I'd be happy to discuss donations with anyone
interested in more information.

Sincerely,

John Riester - Pipe Organ Shop Manager, American Organ Institute
