Morton "Finger Buster" Played By Mike Meddings
By Julian Dyer

Jelly Roll Morton made some rolls, all in the mid 1920s, and they
didn't include all of his hits; "Finger Buster" was one omitted.
Full details are on Mike Meddings' web site:

Mike painstakingly transcribed a number of Morton's records to create
astoundingly accurate and effective rolls of Morton's material. He
originally did this for a series of his own pianola jazz concerts,
but a few years ago kindly shared them with us via Karl Ellison's New
England Music Rolls.

At Mike's request I now have the computer masters of these rolls. To
date I've only put one ("Frog-i-more") in my catalogue, and interest
was rather muted; perhaps the market was saturated the first time
around! If there's interest I can cut any of these.
