New CD of Offenbach Played on a Street-Organ
By Gerard Dabonot

Dear MMD Reader, For the friends of mechanical music and of
Jacques Offenbach we have created a CD entitled "Nuits Parisiennes".
This CD contains music from Offenbach's operas and operettas, some of
which are less well known to the public but worthwhile to discover.

The arrangements have been achieved by a young talented French
musician, Jérôme Collomb. They are interpreted on a rare 27 notes
Raffin organ with 5 manual registers reflecting the orchestral
character of Offenbach's beautiful music.

The CD has been greeted enthusiastically by the specialists of
Offenbach who rediscovered here many rare pieces of music, as well as
by the friends of street-organs who have appreciated the sound of the
instrument and the quality of the arrangements. Jérôme Collomb has
also written the text accompanying the music of this fantasy-ballet.

You can order this CD containing a booklet of 12 pages in English and
German on our web site http://www.leturlutain.fr/ (English version)
or on eBay: Jacques OFFENBACH à l'orgue de Barbarie "Nuits Parisiennes"
Object number 230894429670

Seasons greetings to all,
