Jan Jaap Haspels was an important figure in mechanical music, and
I was surprised when he greeted us years ago during our visit to
the Museum Van Speelklok tot Pierement in Utrecht, taking us to the
nearby organ workshops and even having lunch with my friend and I.

We were not wealthy donors or influential officials, just mechanical
music buffs. I remember that visit well and have always appreciated
Jan Jaap as a wonderful ambassador for our hobby.
