Average Time to Rebuild a Player Piano
By Scotty Greene

I have been following this discussion, and as an engineer I note we
have missed the necessary starting point. If you want to time a job
you must first clearly define it. A couple responses have sort of
addressed this point, but nobody has pointed out that we seem to be
timing some very different jobs.

I have lucked out a few times and had the piano playing in an hour.
That was not a restoration, and probably not even a repair. Thus
I would hazard a guess that every response is probably correct, but
we are working with vastly different definitions of the job.
