Rotary Pump Makes the Grand Piano Shimmy
By Vince Wukmir

Check the condition of the legs first. I have found reproducing pianos
that sit on hardwood floors, or other solid floors, can shimmy because
one or more of the six legs is not touching the floor well. Much like
a wobbly table at a restaurant, you can shim the legs with a suitable
material. In the old days, we could use matchbooks to shim; not many
matchbooks around anymore.
