Unusual Inside-Out Rotary Player Piano Pump
By David Dewey

I don't recall if Gordon Stelter mentions the condition of the rest
of the piano he is selling, but with that unusual pump unit in it,
it is likely a Cable Euphona player, and probably has the Recordo
system in it. Mine is a 1917 build, with the Recordo B system, and
it's a wonderful piano!

Other than the Recordo box, which is a bear to rebuild (if it needs
it, and it probably does), the player stack is a joy to work on and
the piano was very well-made originally. Looking at my piano, I doubt
you could install this system in a different piano, it's so tightly
fitted to the piano, and while I haven't measured it I believe has
an extra-thick bottom board to support and hold in alignment all that
stuff -- there are some pretty hefty screws holding it down.

Do be aware, this stuff makes the piano _heavy;_ I can tell you about
my hernia operation after moving mine!

David Dewey - In love with my Euphona Recordo since the rebuild!
(This will likely last until I rebuild my Grand with the Welte in it,
but maybe I'll still love it then too!)
