Rotary Pump Makes the Grand Piano Shimmy
By Steve Bentley

With regard to glue, I have had good results from using Carpenter's or
Titebond glue. Use some in place when fitting any dowels and anyplace
where the original glue has failed.

An experience: once when removing a grand piano action, I broke the
shank of one hammer. Using this glue repaired it as good as a new shank.
