Restored Ampico Piano Without Player
By Bruce Clark

The Ampico factory was close to my home when I lived in Rochester,
New York. There were a few pianos with the AMPICO brand on the
fallboard. I believe these were their "economy" models. Some had
the Ampico mechanism, and some did not.

It was toward the end of the line and Ampico was using up many parts
in many combinations. Some had B drawers but A mechanisms; some had
B unit valves but otherwise A parts. There were many combinations
and varieties.
