Seek Special Screws for Telektra Piano Player By Dave Krall
My Telektra piano player has two very small specially made screws
that serve as electrodes for the governor of the 14-volt DC motor that
drives the roll carriage. The two electrodes on my machine have burned
down to the point where the operation of the motor is erratic and so
they need replacing.
Each screw is different and has platinum tips. They are very, very
small and I think they are something a clock/watch maker/jeweler could
make for me. The amount of platinum is minuscule. There are probably
some other readers here that have either a Tel-Electric of Telektra
machine that would like to have a new set of these electrodes made.
There is also a third style of electrode screw that was used on some
Telektra machines, as well as a tiny Bakelite cap that may have to be
replaced. Courtesy of Bob Billings I am attaching his drawings of
these special screw electrodes and the cap.
Might there be an MMDer here that would have the skills and lathe to
make these parts? My machine requires the screws shown in drawing
"TE9, T-E and Type 1 TK" and drawing "TE 8".
Thanks
Dave Krall
