Siegfried Wendel, the founder and developer of the very special
Siegfrieds Mechanischen Musikkabinett, died on Monday, 10 October
2016, at the age of 81 years.

Wendel was a stroke of luck for Rüdesheim in that his Mechanical
Music Cabinet in the Brömserhof is a unique tourist attraction
which brings in more than 100,000 visitors each year.

The city of Rüdesheim, said Mayor Volker Mosler, mourns a fellow
citizen who with his passion has "moved much in and for Rüdesheim."
