I totally agree with Mike Schoeppner's comments on Internet service
bandwidth [171128 MMDigest].  I live in the 'country.  We're serviced
by Frontier Communications and there aren't enough people out here
to warrant them bringing in normal DSL service.  We have "DSL Light"
which is only 1G service, not the 4G that most other folks have.

Verizon's coverage stops 1000 feet away -- so near yet so far.  I'm
told we'll never have anything better: too many cows and horses,
not enough computers here.  Our only other alternative is HughesNet
[satellite Internet service] which is crazy expensive and will falter
when it rains or snows too hard!

by the way, the lack of posts every once in awhile doesn't mean
something's in need of changing, it's just that people are busy with
other things!
