For what it's worth, I put pneumatics and bellows back with
a leather gasket.  Aeolian did it and if it's good enough for them,
it's good enough for me.

I use thick pouch leather from an organ supply firm on striking
pneumatics, and discretionary use of different thickness leather
in different applications.
