Fans of the many mechanical instruments at Knoebels Amusement Resort,
in Elysburg, Pennsylvania, will recall the 15 cassette tapes produced
by the park.  These came without tune titles, but collaboration among
enthusiasts has led to mostly complete listings.  Well, I just nailed
down another tune and thought I'd share it here.

Cassette Volumes 3 and 4 are the large Frati band organ converted to
61-hole, 8-holes-to-the-inch rolls.  My final holdout on them was this
tune, the second tune on Vol. 3, "I Loved You Then As I Love You Now",
music by Axt & Mendoza, lyrics by Ballard MacDonald, and theme to the
1928 MGM film "Our Dancing Daughters," starring Joan Crawford.

The tune matches the one of the same name on "Brass Whistle Ballyhoo"
Vol. 1 (Marion Roehl Recordings).  That recording, the Knoebels one,
and two of three on YouTube have the tune as a waltz.  Here is one:

Now, I'm not sure that I'm the first person to put this title to
the Knoebels recording, but I suspect that I am, based on previous
correspondence with others about these cassettes.  And I hope to find
out on what roll the tune appears with the pending publication of the
updated Artizan/North Tonawanda Eight-To-The-Inch Rollography at its
new home on the web (mentioned by Dave Haibach in MMD 190116):
