Removing Ampico A Pump Cut-off Valve
By Bill Chapman

The master cut-off valve, which in the Ampico A is a part of the pump,
is inaccessible for replacement. I skipped restoring it in 1982 and
it has become worn and squeaky. Now 40 years later I am still stumped
about how to remove it.

Is there a known method for removing it? In the attached picture the
valve is the greenish area in the center of the unit.

A scale was handy -- the weight of the pump with the compensating
bellows is 45.0 pounds.
