various Wurlitzer 165s or other band organs that have been converted to
play the 165 scale and roll sound like a Wurlitzer 157, I've attached

How To Make A Wurlitzer 165 Sound Like A 157

Anyhoo, here's the topic of this post. Many of those who are 
familiar with the collection of my good friend Glenn Thomas (right 
on the outskirts of Princeton), have seen in the carriage house his 
Bruder-Wurlitzer "hybrid" band organ meant to replicate the elusive 
Wurlitzer Style 166 band organ. Here is how to make any recording
of any Wurlitzer 165 playing organ sound like his 166 (minus the 
brass trumpets and Uniphone bells).

1st: Once again, open up VLC Media Player.

2nd: Again, go to the bottom left corner of the player and click on 
the icon for "Adjustments And Effects".

3rd: Once the icon has been opened up, open the window entitled
"advanced".

4th: the Bruder/Wurlizer 165/166 is tuned 2-1/4 pitches higher than
a 165 but half a pitch lower than the 165-roll-playing Ruth & Sohn 
on the Crescent Park carousel. So set the pitch around 1.8 precisely 
if you want to enjoy endless recordings in this timbre.
