Hello MMD, actually I'm still hoping I can cope some other way, but
in case I can't then my pain is your gain!

Potentially for sale: as far as I know, a unique 24-key Muzzio barrel
organ. I only acquired this at the beginning of the year after it had
sat in someone's closet for over 40 years.

Throughout the continued pandemic I fixed it up using what I would call
a "gentle restoration": the bellows have been re-leathered, most of the
missing hardware replaced, given a full cleaning and some repair work
to the inlay.

Aside of the cleaning, I've not yet done anything much to the barrel,
which could use some work but "plays authentically" at the moment. The
current crank is from a Polyphon. I've got a replacement on order but
not as yet received; this would be included in the sale when and if it
arrives.

The organ has its original tune sheet and I've added a refreshed
version, with way more info, additionally into the lid. You can hear

As this is a one-of-a-kind piece of U.S. mechanical music machinery I'm
looking at US$ 7,000 or reasonable offer -- a museum piece for sure!

As said, I'm still hoping I can hold on to this, but I'm just treading
the waters to see...
