Seek "Rondo I" by William Brown
By Andy Ott

This morning our local PBS station, WHRO in Norfolk, Virginia, played
the "Rondo I" (Possibly in one of the keys of G? I was driving, and
the memory fades with youth.) by William Brown.

It was a light, absolutely delightful piece with a hint of Christmas,
but not one of the overly shop-worn standards for the season. Yes,
I've tracked it down, from "American Piano Music of the 18th Century"
(Doron 3001) and the CD is on the way from Amazon.

But the more important question is, does this piece exist within the
Duo-Art, Ampico or Welte repertoire? It should be, and I hope it does.
This is a sensational piece. Any information would be appreciated.
