Unusual Player Piano Bench
By Pat DeWitt

I was in a used furniture store last week and saw a player piano bench
like the one that Brian Stahl described (07.04.24 MMD), where the
center section of the horizontal lid rotates from flat (flush with the
surrounding rim of the lid) to an upholstered raised section, tilted
for ideal player piano pumping.

This one is just wide enough for one person to sit on, as opposed to
the typical non-player bench which is big enough for two people. Other
than needing refinishing, it is in pretty good condition, with the
veneer only chipped in a couple of spots around the edge.

They are asking $51.00. If anyone is interested, I can put you in
contact with the store in Fort Wayne, Ind.
