Russian Correspondent Seeks Music Box Help
By Todd Augsburger

Maybe Babel Fish didn't do so bad in translation. I own a "Musical
Casket" (organette). It must have been somewhat popular, being
advertised in magazines as such. But I don't speak Russian. And
yes, I hope someone can help.

[ Matthew Caulfield wrote, "I suppose 'musical casket' is Babel Fish's
[ bad English for 'musical box'." True! A careful translation of
[ Valery's email (not by a machine) says:
 [
[ I have become interested in musical boxes. Please suggest
[ references to forums of people making musical boxes with their
[ own hands, as well as any information that might help with
[ this hobby. Thanks in advance for your answer.
 [ Yours sincerely, Valery
 [
[ By itself, "shkatulka" can be a casket or box or case but
[ the phrase composed by Valery, "muzikalnoya shkatulka", denotes
 [ a musical box.
