Russian Correspondent Seeks Music Box Help
By Matthew Caulfield

There must be some magic to the MMD. Not only did I get responses to
yesterday's plea to help Valery in Russia with his music box question
from Todd Augsburger, Leslie Hoffman, and Vincent Morgan, but magically
a communication in English finally appeared in the MBSI inbox from
Valery, himself. Here it is:

I'm interested in musical caskets. I have some questions to you.
I am seeking Internet sites and forums, where people (who make such
musical caskets) speak with each other.
Can you help me? I also would be grateful to you for any information
  of my hobby.
Do you know program that can help to project a musical-casket disc
(drum)? How to transform music (MIDI melody) to drawings of this
  disc (drum)?

  Thank you for the answer.
  Yours faithfully, Valery.

I would guess that by "project" Valery means "create." Anybody who
can help the guy out should write directly to him (clockmaker@inbox.ru).
I will tell him about the MMD and other mechanical music venues, but
if his English is limited, that might not help him as much as a
Russian-speaking correspondent could.

[ I think that Valery used a machine translator which produced the same
[ translation errors as earlier. He's not talking about a casket, he
[ wants to make a musical box played by a disc or a pinned cylinder.
