Ampico B Transmission Control Problems
By Ben Gottfried

Larry Hollenberg asks about a misbehaving model B drawer. Those
drawers are truly a work of art and represent the highest level of
pneumatic logic and design. When they are being naughty they can be
very mysterious as to the cause of the problem. I would suggest as a
first step being sure the pallet valves on the backside of the shifter
pneumatic are seating and lifting at the appropriate time in the play
and rewind cycles. Sounds like maybe the one on the extreme left may
not be fully lifting when in rewind mode.

We need more information about the notes that are not working properly.
Those model B ball bleeds are a nuisance and cause a variety of problems
if the balls are not seating well. You can blow through the tracker bar
on the offending notes and often clear a problem with them.

Hope this helps,
